A South Boston man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being found guilty in January of 11 charges of possession of child pornography and computer trespass.

Stephanie Denise Davis, 48, of Norlina, N.C., died Friday, March 19, 2021 at Maria Parham Medical Center, Henderson.

Ms. Davis was born in Halifax County Aug. 28, 1972 to Charlie Bullock and Barbara Jordan. She attended Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith, and at an early age joined Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Ms. Davis was a devoted employee of Urgent-Care Henderson as a LPN. She loved spending time with her family and friends, a good laugh, dancing, and talking trash.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Crystal Davis and Dominique Bruce (Trey) both of Henderson, N.C.; two sons; Sylvester Davis Jr. and Mutah-din Boyd of Henderson, N.C.; four grandchildren; her parents, Charlie Bullock and Barbara Jordan both of Chase City; her siblings, Cathy Bullock of Henderson, N.C., Reggie Bullock and Ricky Bullock (Jessica) all of Chase City, Nicole Bailey (Danny) of Charlotte, N.C.; the father of her children, Sylvester Davis Sr. of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; devoted friend, Tina Hardy of Clarksville, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Hannah Davis.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount Baptist Church cemetery, Skipwith with Rev. Dennis King officiating. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 24 from 2-6 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a mask will be required for all viewings and services. We ask that you adhere to all guidelines, and practice social distancing.
