The HCHS varsity baseball team cruised to a 9-2 over Group AAA Bluestone on the road Thursday. Halifax got a solid outing on the mound from winner Tyler Lewis, who worked four and a thirds of an inning, fanning nine. Lewis allowed eight walks, one hit and two earned runs.

The HCHS varsity softball team cruised to a 9-1 win over Heritage in its season opener Wednesday. HCHS got plenty of offense early, scoring two runs in the first inning, four in the second, two in the fifth and one in the sixth.

The HCHS varsity baseball team cranks up today at Bluestone, and head coach Kelvin Davis has a key theme in place. “The key this season…is going to be dedication …. That’s been my main focus, as far as making these guys understand, it’s going to take a lot of dedication on and off the field to improve,” said Davis.
