Comet girls end season with 4-1 soccer win over Tunstall / June 10, 2021
The Halifax County High School girls soccer team finished the regular season with a 4-1 win over Tunstall.

The game was punctuated with a smart finish by Susanna Watts who scored her first goal of the season in the second half. Once again the Comets started strong posting the first goal in the first two minutes by Ella Morrison.

The match was close in the first half until Morrison scored twice to extend the lead to 3-0 at the half.

Halifax had some nice passes during the game with the midfield and forwards linking up for practical play. Tunstall had a slight edge with 19 shots on goal versus 17 for Halifax.

“This was a super win to finish the season,” Coach Bertram Cuffley said. “We really managed the time well towards the end of the game.”
