Girls track team takes second in district championshps; boys fifth / June 07, 2021
The Halifax County High School girls and boys track and field teams competed in the Piedmont District Championship at Bassett High School on Wednesday, June 3. The girls were runners-up in the competition; Bassett claimed first place.

The Comets only fielded six competitors at the meet, with some team members competing in events that they had never done before. The Comets fell a little short of winning the meet, but the coaches were proud of their efforts.

The Comet boys finished fifth.
